These bottles leaked for me only after a couple of months of using them on my daughter. I consider myself a parent to have perfectly good common sense and I know that baby bottles need to be durable, which means being able to withhold heat and steam, since parents regularly need to heat and sterilize bottles with heat. Even if I didn't use a bottle warmer I sterilize them on a regular basis so I probably would have run into the same problem either way if it's true that heat breaks down the vents. I even bought a new one just recently because I figured the rubber was wearing down on the others and that one started leaking after just one use! I have noticed that the ventaire standard (not advanced) hold up better because the milk can't escape from the bubble disks so I might just buy more of those.

These bottles are great. However, maybe they are for parents with common sense. The more you wash them the softer the rubber gets. The constant heating to a high temp then cooling is hard on any product. There are holes in the bottom so I would expect at some point they would leak. Solution? Put your formula or breast milk in another container for storage then pour it in these bottles.

These bottles are great for my son cause their size. He can fit his little hands right around it and the way it bends makes it easy for him cause he never has to hold it straight up in the air.

This product is recommended by most doctors. However I have found that you can not used a bottle warmer to heat the bottle due to the "breakdown of the vent". I would not recommend this product because the only way to heat a bottle is with "warm water" according to the customer service rep. I will not have my daughter screaming for a bottle due to having to wait 5 to 10 minutes for the milk to warm in the bottle.
